wet pants summer camp (short story) -- (Author) dancerboy

Content: I found this story writing itself in my head, and so I decided I'd try sharing it here. No real planning or ambition or really much thought put in to this, just throwing it out there. Based loosely on real events but heavily embellished.
Little Sally had been attending the Happy Trails Summer Camp for one week now. So far she was having a great time. Mostly. At five years old she was always curious about the world around her, so she was enjoying all the time campers spent outdoors exploring and learning about nature. Unfortunately there was one problem.
The camp director Ms Greentree ran the camp in a small cabin in the woods behind her house, but the cabin didn't have a bathroom. If they had to go, campers had to use the one in her house up the hill. The walk through the woods certainly felt long to a young child, and once you got there you had to find your way through the strange house. Some of the older campers had even started a rumor that the house was haunted.
Therefore, over her week at camp Sally had seen several other campers have accidents. One boy had wet himself while sitting on the carpet for story time seemingly without even noticing. Another little girl around her age squatted and peed through her pants on the floor right in the middle of the cabin while playing. One boy left a stain on the carpet and a funny smell in the air after sitting playing a board game. One boy had to change his pants twice in one day. And supposedly one older girl had even pooped her pants, although Sally hadn't actually seen it. And worst of all, Sally herself had wet her pants every single day she had been at camp so far. Some days it was just a small wet patch between her legs, but some days it was more.
And that is why today, after much discussion between her parents, the camp and even her doctor, Sally found herself at camp in a diaper. They had discussed many different solutions, and Ms Greentree usually wasn't fond of campers who weren't mature enough to be responsible for themselves. Part of Sally had even been hoping for pull-ups, but she knew deep down and the grown ups all agreed that she wasn't really going to make an effort to use the bathroom, and that pampers were the way to go. So far it had been fine, it was actually sort of comfortable, and she was pretty sure no one had noticed. But now... she had to pee.
It was warm, it was squishy, it was... comfy? It was nice not having to use the bathroom. She had peed in her pants, just like every other day, but this time it was ok. She now had a nice thick lump between her legs, but her pants were dry, and she was still pretty sure no one could tell. She had peed in her pants, and now she didn't have to stop playing. And then, she heard Ms Greentree calling her, asking her to come in to the back room of the cabin where her extra diapers had been stashed for changes, as if she somehow knew. And so, as she stood up and waddled over for her first diaper change, it occurred to her that it would probably be the first of many, that maybe this was her life now. And she didn't mind it.

Apparently, from the perspective of the phew non-diapered kids, those mates that up to yesterday were struggling to stay dry are now not having accidents anymore, but also never seem to need to use the toilet anymore.

Haha I hadn’t thought of that, I guess I would assume that all the others were more isolated incidents whereas sally was every day, but your idea is certainly fun to imagine!
