Content: By Wednesday the following week, Laurie didn't find herself chilling at a beach somewhere but instead cleaning out her bedroom, packing up all her baby clothes along with Nathen.

Nathen "Are you sure you want to get rid of this frilly one? I think it looks adorable."

Laurie "No. I want to get rid of all these dresses. It was a smart idea you had to sell these clothes on my site. Didn't really think there'd be a market for this kind of stuff."

Nathen "And you call yourself a business woman. - Are you still on radio silence with Jean?"

Laurie "Yes. I'm not even really mad with her. I just don't know what to say to her. I don't even think she'll talk to me."

Nathen "Oh I wouldn't say she's as stubborn as you are."

Laurie "I am not stubborn."

Nathen "See, that's what I'm talking about. It's nothing to be too ashamed of. In fact I actually like that about you."

Laurie "Oh you do not."

Nathen "I do to. I always liked that about you. I liked your wit, your courage, your supportiveness and your openness. It's what I've missed about you ever since we - you know, went our own ways."

Laurie "Thanks - you know I kind of missed you too. I mean REALLY missed you. College wasn't exactly fun. A lot of stress and catty people. Wouldn't have minded having you there to help me through it all."

Nathen "Well I'm here now, and I can help you with all the things you've been going through now."

Laurie turned away and blushed.

Laurie "Would you by any chance be interested in possibly taking a short trip up North at the lake while it's still warm out? I mean I did spend all that time packing up my stuff and all. You know, if you wouldn't mind putting up with my condition."

Nathen "Of course. I'd love you - love to."

Nathen turned away and blushed.

Laurie "You love me?"

Nathen "Well I didn't mean to say that."

Laurie "No - did you really mean it. Do you love me?"

Nathen " - Kind of. In a way. Yes. You know in a sort of - -"

Laurie lunged toward Nathen and threw her arms around him. She hugged him tightly before stepping back and leaning in for a kiss as Nathen slowly hugged his arms around her and embraced it. After a short while of lip locking the two parted for some air.

Laurie "That was - the CURSE!"

Nathen "What?"

Laurie "True love can break the curse. And you can change my diaper right? Maybe if you change me now, the curse will be lifted."

Nathen "Do you want to give it a try?"

Laurie "Well it wouldn't be the first time."

Nathen "Are you even wet?"

Laurie "Well - a little. But it'll be enough. Here, I've got a pair of panties still in tacked. If you can change me and I can put them on without anything magic happening, then we'll know the curse is broken. Let's try it."

Nathen "Okay."

Laurie laid down on the bed and lifted up the skirt of her dress, spreading her legs in the air. Nathen, palms a bit slick with sweat, calmly bent down and pulled at the tabs of the diaper, both tabs pealing right off with ease. Nathen slid the diaper out from under Laurie as she hopped up off the bed and ran over to the dresser to retrieve a pair of fresh panties.

She slid them on and held her breath.

Nathen "I - I think it worked."

Laurie "I think so too."

Laurie's look of suspense suddenly bloomed into a bright smile as she wrapped her arms around Nathen once more and the two embraced each other with a kiss.

As soon as they parted, Laurie felt something strange happening beneath her dress. The skirt of her dressed suddenly blew up as she and Nathen looked down to see her underwear tear itself about the hips, bulge up between the legs and tape itself closed around her stomach, becoming yet another diaper.

Laurie "It can't be. If it's not you then I don't know who."

Laurie plopped down onto the bed with a look of defeat.

Laurie "The bottle said only true love could change me and end the suffering."

Nathen "Well - maybe the bottle didn't mean that the magic itself would be broken."

Laurie "How so?"

Nathen "Maybe the suffering isn't so much the fact that you have to wear diapers but rather the fact that you feel sad having to wear them without anyone else around to love and care for you. Maybe you can't stop wearing diapers, you just have to learn to live with it."

Laurie sunk in her seat as she slowly came to accept the possibility.

Laurie "Maybe you're right. Maybe I can't stop wearing diapers. I just need someone who loves me in spite of it all to help make me realize it's nothing to be sad about. Maybe that's why I need you. You and - Jean!"

Laurie jumped up off the bed, grabbed her diaper bag and ran out the door, leaving Nathen alone and confused for just a moment before she peeked he head back in for a quick second.

Laurie "Oh by the way. I love you too."

. . .

Half way across the city in her cozy little flat, Jean was sitting in her kitchen picking at a microwave dinner when she heard the doorbell ring followed by a flurry of knocks at the door. Jean got up and opened the door, finding Laurie standing before her panting in exhaustion.

Jean "Laurie?"

Laurie "Hey. I just decided I would run all the way here to tell you - to tell you that you're the greatest friend I've ever had and I was wondering if you'd like to hang out again just like we used to."

Jean just stood there in awe as to what to say.

Laurie "I'm sorry Jean. I didn't mean to snap at you. If you want you can spank me and make me stand in the corner. I won't mind, really."

Jean "Uh - no it's fine. Do you want to come in? I've got macaroni and cheese already made."

Laurie "Sure. I brought my own baby bottle so I won't have to change any of your glasses."

. . .

A few weeks later, Laurie was found herself sitting at home on the couch next to Nathen with her hand in his and a baby bottle of wine in the other.

Nathen "It's nice you and Jean are talking again. I told you that argument you two had was nothing. It's nice to know she can change your diaper too. Maybe I'll hire her to baby sit every now and then."

Laurie "You saying you don't want me?"

Nathen "Of course not. I love my baby girl. My big smart, beautiful, hard working baby girl."

Laurie "Right. I'll handle the business and the bills while you'll handle the feedings and the changes. A perfect match. I need to go put this bottle in the sink."

Laurie got up off the couch and walked off into the kitchen.

Nathen "You know Laurie, in some ways I'm glad this magic curse happened. It helped bring us together and made me realize just how much I truly loved you. Kind of a blessing in disguise when you think about it. Just depends how you look at it I guess."

Laurie "Yeah. I guess sometimes luck is just what you make of it."

Laurie returned from the kitchen.

Nathen "That's the spirit. I think I've raised you quite well if I don't say so myself."

Laurie "Sure - now why don't come to the bedroom and help change me out of my diaper."

Nathen "Why, are you wet?"

Laurie bent over to whisper into his ear.

Laurie "Not yet."

Laurie took Nathen by the hand and lead him off the couch and into the bedroom where she shut the door and turned off the light.
