A WET GIRLY
Firstly let me introduce Abby. A girl aged 14 years old who's not your typical girly girl of any kind. She is more into football than high heels and wears boy's clothes rather than girl's. A tom boy I could say. She is a hard worker and always has been just like her mother. Abby has many aspirations for her future career and is determined to succeed.
Abby lives at home with her mother, Katie and her mother's partner Hayley. Whilst growing up, Abby has never been close to her mother as she is a workaholic and Hayley took on the childcare role. Hayley and Abby have formed a great relationship, they were like best friends.
All three of them live in a giant house with a large living room, a large kitchen which leads out onto a substantial well-kept garden, a dining room and a small toilet on the ground floor.
The second floor has a large bedroom, a medium sized bedroom with two bunkbeds, Katie's office (as she often works from home) and a family bathroom.
The third floor, the attic, still remains a mystery to Abby as it was her mother's bedroom (and Hayley's of course) and it also has another small bathroom. The family are very settled in this house. This was soon to change.
Shortly after Abby turned 15 years old it was announced that Hayley's daughter (Kristen) was soon to be arriving at their home as a permanent transition from her father's small house. He was moving to another country as business called and he didn't want to disrupt her life completely.
Hayley was overjoyed at the news and Katie welcomed her into the home. However there was one person who was not best pleased, Abby. She was comfortable with family life as it was all she'd ever known. She received all the affection from Hayley that she could ever want but she knew that was bound to change.
The arrival of Kristen altered the atmosphere of the house to Abby. She was no longer the center of Hayley's attention and although she did her best to capture it, it just wasn't the same. The new addition saw a change in Abby's attitude. She was no longer the nice, bubbly girl who everybody loved to be around.
She became very isolated, stroppy and any day she could be found in her room with her headphones on (when she wasn't at school) as if she was blocking everything out. Kristen, aged 16, was a little older than Abby but you couldn't notice the difference in age.
The two girls shared the medium sized bedroom, a bunk bed each which Abby wasn't too impressed with as she had always had her own space and that was "her" room.
Not only did she not have her own personal space anymore, have to be civil with her but she actually had to share with this girl who was the messiest person she'd ever met.
Hayley noticed the change in Abby's attitude and attempted to approach her about it, "What's up Abby?"
"Nothing" Abby snapped back.
"You've been awfully quiet recently, is everything okay at school?"
"Yea it's fine. What do you want?"
This took Hayley by surprise. So later that evening Hayley chatted to Katie about the change in her daughter's attitude. Katie said that it was probably because she's jealous. Hayley disagreed saying it could be puberty but she was worried about the sudden change since Kristen entered.
"Do you think I did the right thing bringing Kristen here permanently?"
"Of course you did babe" Responded Katie.
"Do you want me to try speak to her?" Hayley replied.
"You can try but I doubt anyone will get through to her."
The next day after Abby got home from school her mother came into her room whilst she was listening to her music, tapped her on the shoulder and said "What's wrong darling?"
"Why do you care?" said Abby in her stroppy tone of voice.
"Because I'm you're mother, Abigail, that's why and I care about you."
"I'm fine! Now can I do my work?" replied Abby.
"Why are you being so childish? Are you jealous of Kristen? You best snap out of this attitude young lady because she's here to stay whether you like it or not!"
Abby huffed and with no reply Katie left her alone.
A few minutes later, Kristen entered "Sup kiddo?" and Abby snapped. She hated it when Kristen called her Kiddo as she was only one year younger than she was. Abby told her "**** off" to which Kristen stormed out of the room.
A few minutes later, Kristen re-appeared with Katie. Abby was back in her music zone and didn't hear them enter. Katie removed Abby's headphones and said in a strict tone of voice, "Listen young lady I will not have that language in my house, you're getting more childish every day! If you're going to act like a child that's how you will be treated." Kristen just laughed.
Abby had had enough and she stood up and squared up to Kristen, "Do one! No one wants you here!" Kristen burst into tears and ran out of the room. Katie scolded Abby "I'm not done with you missy!" and left to check on Kristen who was being comforted by Hayley.
Katie returned to Abby's bedroom and told her to get up. Abby obeyed because she knew her mum was serious. "Follow me" said Katie. Katie led Abby to her office, locked the door behind them and sat on her chair. "Come here!" Abby refused.
This angered Katie and she raised her voice "Do as you're told right now!" This time Abby complied and stood in front of her mother. "What do you have to say for yourself?" Abby looked at the ceiling hoping her mother would just ignore the whole situation.
She was wrong as her mother told her "Get over my knee right now, 1?"
"But mum, no"
"2?"
"I'm not a child, I'm too old for this!"
"You, young lady are certainly acting like a child so that is how you will be treated, now do as you're told!"
With hesitation, Abby bent over her mum's knee. Katie briskly pulled down Abby's trousers and underwear and proceeded to smack her bottom saying "You will treat your sister with respect". And with every comment Abby had to reply "Yes mum".
"You will apologize to your sister Kristen as you've really upset her."
"Yes mum" as Abby just wished the pain from her bottom would stop.
"You will also apologize to Hayley for the way you've been speaking to her"
"Yes mum" as Abby resisted the tears forming in her eyes.
"You will spend the night firstly finishing your homework then after that you will tidy your room. It's a tip."
Abby interrupted "But it wasn't me!"
With a hard forceful smack on her bottom Katie demanded "I don't care who made the mess but I have told you to clean it up. You can do it to show your sister that you're sorry"
"yes mum"
Finally the smacking ceased and Abby was sent back to her room to carry out the tasks assigned. Tea time came and Hayley called Abby downstairs to eat. Abby sat down at the table and apologized for the way she'd spoken to Hayley. Secondly she apologized to Kristen for her actions.
Her mother was satisfied so they all ate then Kristen went off to watch TV and Abby went back to her room to continue her duties. Later that evening, Kristen came to bed and they both got in their beds for the night. "Night Kiddo!" shouted Kristen across the room. Abby ignored her comment and said "Night".
That night Abby found it a very disturbed sleep. She tossed and turned all night remembering her punishment. When she awoke in the morning she found herself in a state she had not been in before. She had some how wet the bed in the night. She was mortified.
She quickly stripped her bed, shoved the bedding in the washing machine, had a shower and headed out to school. She pondered why that had happened all day through her classes wondering why she had wet the bed. She'd never done that before so why now?
The school day passed as normal and Abby returned home to find her mother sat in her usual chair in "her" room. Why was she sat there? Then suddenly she remembered the morning's incident and her heart sank. Did she know? How much trouble was she going to be in now?
