What Kind Of Place Is This
WHAT KIND OF PLACE IS THIS
It was a sweltering Tuesday morning, in the middle of Summer. Jimmy was 17 at the time, and had always had issues with wetting the bed. He got up and saw a text from his mum "Hey Jimmy, can you call me ASAP"
Jimmy called his mum, and she told him that he would be spending the next week at a family friends as his parents were going away tomorrow, as there was an emergency they had to tend to. He hadn't seen his Mums friend Tess since he was 10 years old so he was a bit nervous as to how she would react to the whole bedwetting thing.
Jimmy got out of his bed and changed out of his wet DryNites. He had a shower and went to the kitchen and made himself some breakfast. He saw some pancake mix in the cupboard, so he made himself some pancakes. His phone buzzed on the table beside him.
"Hey Jimmy, it is Tess. Your mum spoke to me about you spending some time with me as she and your dad had an emergency to tend to. I will come and pick you up after I finish work today at around 5 o'clock. Make sure everything is packed because we have a tight schedule."
Jimmy finished his pancakes and went to his room and grabbed a training bag and started to put all his stuff in it. He packed enough clothes to last him the whole week, but when he went to grab his DryNites he felt embarrassed. He knew Tess had a son, who was around 7 or 8 years old, and a daughter who was around 11 or 12.
He was a bit uncomfortable with taking his diapers there. He packed them into the bottom of his bag so that they wouldn't be found by either of them. He finished packing his bag and it was 12:30pm in the afternoon. He went to the living room and started playing on his PS4, knowing he wouldn't be able to for a week.
Jimmy's phone started buzzing and it was Tess calling him, he answered "Hey Tess". "Hey Jimmy, I just finished my shift at work, I will beep my horn when I am outside, and your Mum asked if you could put keys in the mail box for her when she gets home. I am excited to see you, it feels like it had been forever. Bye". "Yeah, bye Tess" Jimmy said.
He turned off the PS4 and locked up everything, grabbed his phone charger and phone and sat on his bed. Just as he was about to call Tess to find out how far she was she beeped the car horn.
Jimmy went out the front door, locked the front door and put the key in the mailbox as his mum and asked him to. He put his bag in the back of Tess's car and got in the front passenger seat.
"Hey Jimmy". "Hey Tess, how are you?" "I am alright Jimmy, how 'bout you?" "I'm good, but a bit confused cause I have no idea what this emergency is, but otherwise good". "That's good Jimmy. I need to do a quick shopping trip before we go up to my house, you know how far away it is from any shops".
Jimmy and Tess entered a supermarket and did some shopping. First they grabbed some essentials, food, drinks, toothpaste, soaps etc. But then Tess went and grabbed 3 boxes of diapers.
One for "Big Kids" (6-8 year olds), one for teens and one box of adult diapers. She noticed Jimmy raised an eyebrow in regards to the diapers. "I will tell you in the car ok Jimmy?"
They finished the shopping up and once in the car, Jimmy brought up the topic "Um... Tess, why did you grab 3 boxes of diapers, one for "Big Kids", one for teens and one box of adult diapers?"
"Listen Jimmy, your mum told me about the issues you have with wetting the bed. In my house I have a policy of all in or nothing. This goes for everything. If you wear something at night you have to wear it during the day too. Of course this is in relation to diapers, undies, you know what I mean."
Tess continued "The "Big Kid" diapers are for Isaac as he still isn't toilet trained. We gave up when he would just poop at night in his night diaper. The teens diapers are for Ella as she has had issues with bedwetting recently, and we told her if she keeps wetting the bed we were going to diaper her. And the adult diapers are yours. It is up to you whether you wear them, but I would recommend it as we also have plumbing issues so it does help a bit"
Jimmy wasn't sure as to whether or not he should even consider it. He was 17 and hadn't wet himself during the day since he was 8. It was just at night he had issues, but he didn't want to break Tess's rules. "I'm not sure Tess, I will have to think about it".
The next hour of the drive up to Tess's house was very awkward as neither of them said a word following the prior conversation. They pulled up to Tess's house and got out of the car. Tess grabbed all the shopping bags and Jimmy grabbed his bag and they went up to the door. Tess rang the doorbell. Ella opened it and hugged her mum hello.
"Hey Ella, this is Jimmy. You probably don't remember him, but he used to always be around when you were a little baby before we moved away"
"Oh, ok. Hi Jimmy". "Hi". Isaac came running through to the hallway "Hi Mummy". Tess picked him up and threw him in the air before putting him down. "Isaac this is Jimmy, Jimmy this is Isaac". "Hey Isaac". Tess took Jimmy through to her spare room and he put his bag next to the bed and sat down.
"Hey Jimmy, did you put anymore thought into what I said to you in the car?" asked Tess. "Yeah, I might just stick to my regular routine tonight if that's okay?" replied Jimmy. "Yeah, whatever you are comfortable with. Anyway, after I change Ella and Isaac were going to watch a movie with dinner. You let me know if you need anything okay" said Tess as she closed the door to his room.
Jimmy started to think to himself what it would be like spending the whole week in diapers, being able to pee whenever he wanted, being able to poop whenever, but that would never work for him. He was too old to be in diapers all day.
He got up and went through to the kitchen to get a glass of water when he saw Tess changing Ella out of a wet diaper into a clean one and that got him thinking. "Ella is only 4 years younger than me and she doesn't seem to be uncomfortable wearing a diaper. Maybe tomorrow I will give it a shot". He sat down on the couch with a glass of water and asked what movie they were going to be watching.
"Star Wars, The Force Awakens, we only just got it and we didn't see it at the movies" replied Ella as she got up off the floor and grabbed the case. "Ella, don't forgot about waiting for Isaac and I, I still need to change him, and then heat up the leftover dinner from last night okay" said Tess. "Yeah, we will wait mum." said Ella, with a slight groan in her voice.
Isaac came through and sat down on the mat as if it was a perfectly normal day. He lifted his legs up after his mum took off his shorts. His diaper had a slightly brown tinge to it, so Jimmy took a deep breath preparing to hold it until the diaper was in the bin.
The diaper was opened and Jimmy looked over at Tess and Isaac. With Tess treating it like it was any other day, and Isaac just staring into the sky without a care in the world, even though he had a big brown smear all over him from the top of his bum all the way to the front of his groin.
Jimmy, could no longer hold his breath and exhaled, with the overpowering smell of Isaac's mess spreading straight into his nostrils. It must have taken Tess a good 5 minutes before she had completely cleaned Isaac.
He got up without putting his shorts back on and sat on the couch next to Ella who seemed to pay no attention to him during the whole ordeal of his messy diaper changing.
Tess got up, putting the messy diaper in a bin, washing her hands, and then putting a leftover pasta into four separate plates, and microwaving each one. She brought all four plates through together, and then went back to grab three glasses (Jimmy already had one) and a jug of water and put them down on the coffee table in front of them. Ella pressed play to the movie as they started to eat and drink water.
About halfway into the movie, Jimmy heard a slight hissing noise and looked over at Isaac whose diaper was starting to bulge a little bit. However he seemed to be the only one who noticed it. Jimmy turned his attention back to the movie and tried to get the fact they both kids seemed to have no care in the world at the fact they were wearing diapers.
Towards the end of the movie, Jimmy heard a tummy grumble come from Ella who had now lifted her feet onto the couch almost squatting. Ella's face started turning red, but it wasn't a blush, it was red from straining.
The back of her pants started to bulge, and her face became less red. She lowered herself back onto her seat, as if she had forgotten she had just pooped in her diaper. Jimmy just thought to himself, what kind of house have I come to?
