Jealousy
JEALOUSY
Ophelia was just a normal 11 year old girl. She was an only child. She had good grades. She was excited to be a young lady. But that changed.
On a Regular summer morning, Ophelia woke up. She headed downstairs for breakfast. She was greeted by her mother and father.
She began eating, when all of the sudden her mom said, "How would you feel if you had a baby brother?". Ophelia looked up at her mother, confused. "What do you mean?", Ophelia asked. Her mother finally said, "I'm pregnant!".
Ophelia didn't know how to feel. She was an only child for 11 years, and she thought it would stay that way. "Aren't you excited?", Her father asked. Ophelia had no other choice than to reply with "yes".
After breakfast, Ophelia was worried. She didn't know what would happen after her mom gave birth. She then sighed, and took a nap.
9 months later, her brother was born. Ophelia was upset about his birth. Ophelia's parents neglected her, forgetting about her and only giving attention to her brother.
A few days passed, and Ophelia lost 10 pounds. She refused to eat. Her parents didn't notice as they were busy playing with her baby brother.
During nighttime when her mom and dad just put Alex ( Baby Brother ) to sleep, they heard a large thump coming from Ophelia's room. They walked in to see her collapsed on the floor, completely exhausted.
Her mother gasped. "Oh My! What happened to my baby girl?!" her mother cried. Her Father then realized they had forgotten about Ophelia because they had focused too much on Alex.
"What should we do to make it up to her?!" Her mother asked with tearful eyes. Then her dad came up with a plan.
